We are looking for a highly motivated, dedicated customer focused individual to join our team on the Surgical Assessment Unit.
You will actively participate as a full member of the team, assisting with the smooth running of the ward by managing the reception and administrative functions in a timely, effective and efficient way alongside Doctors, Nurses and Healthcare Assistants.
The ideal candidate will have a friendly manner, be hard working and highly motivated with good customer service skills.

Interviews will take place 6th and 7th January from 09:30 to 13:30 on both days.
Internal applicants currently employed by ESNEFT will be offered on a secondment basis only.

Main duties of the job
Your duties will include admission and discharge of patients on Trust computer systems, filing of notes, answering phones, liaising with multidisciplinary teams/departments across the trust and welcoming visitors to our ward.
You should be able to work autonomously, be able to prioritise your workload and to work well within a team. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with members of the public, both face-to-face and over the phone.
It would be beneficial to have NHS experience and possess excellent IT and clerical skills. You will be dealing with the staff and general public so it is paramount that you have good people skills. The working days are Monday to Friday, with some weekend and bank holiday working.
