Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a nurse specialist to join the OPAT team based on The Rushmere Medical Day Unit at Ipswich Hospital.
This is a part time post for 22.5 hours per week, for the following working pattern: 3 days a week, 08:00-16:00 Monday/Tuesday/Friday.
Main duties of the job
The OPAT Service (outpatient parenteral antibiotic therapy) treats a range of patients from all specialities.
The aim of the service is to discharge and support patients to the community who still require a course of intravenous antibiotics. This can be in the form of home administration given by a registered community nurse or via guidance and support for self administration.
You will be responsible for managing and coordinating the OPAT service based at Ipswich hospital.
You will provide clinical, managerial and developmental leadership for the OPAT service.
