Health Inequalities Project Support Officer

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity available for an Health Inequalities Project Support Officer to join the team.

You will lead administration tasks for the Health Inequalities team providing consistent higher level and comprehensive support.

Development and overseeing delivery of health inequalities project plans

Participation in meetings and leading on task & finish groups as appropriate within projects, including drafting agendas, taking notes, producing actions logs with clear owners and timescales

Manage, prioritise, plan and organise own time and co-ordinate that of your team if appropriate, using extensive knowledge, skills and experience.

Provide support that encourages high performance from staff within the team, with the aim of maintaining optimum efficiency within the department. Standardising the Project Management process for the team.

Provide support and training to enable the rolling out of Making Every Contact Count across ESNEFT sites and beyond, alongside the MECC Project Lead.

This is fixed term/secondment post until 31st March 2027.

Main duties of the job

  • Collation of project KPI's in order to facilitate reporting
  • Support the team in gathering any data and research pertaining to the projects and strategy
  • Provide a broad range of administrative/ support relevant to area, managing diaries and ensuring that urgent matters are actioned and escalated without dela
  • Maintain working relationships within own and other departments to facilitate an effective service
  • Use judgement to deal with a range of routine and non-routine problems that may arise, and only exceptionally refer very complex issues to the appropriate person.
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining efficient filing systems and tracking reporting schedules
  • Be a champion of Health Inequalities when speaking to stakeholders
  • Take part in meetings and working groups and subsequently transcribe meeting notes, create action plans and take forward actions as appropriate
  • Manage own workload to ensure completion of the full range of your tasks using the knowledge, skills and experience you have gained. Support other team members to undertake the full range of administrative activities.
  • Maintaining a register of the collaborative projects that are ongoing within the team
