Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Support Technician to join our Clinical Support Technician Team on the Emergency Assessment Unit at Ipswich Hospital.
Clinical Support Technicians are a key part of our team and support the Registered Nurses and medical teams in providing high quality care to our patients.

As part of the role you will need excellent communication skills and the clinical skills required to undertake a number of procedures to facilitate patient care and treatments. This includes but not limited to;
- Venepuncture
- Cannulation
- 12-lead ECGs
You must be able to work well in a team and be flexible according to the day-to-day needs of the service. You will be required to work a variety of shifts including weekends and nights.
Main duties of the job
- You will safely manage the basic care needs of a defined group of patients
- You will provide support to the clinical health care team in maintaining an efficient environment
- You will be able to work independently, under direction of the Nurse in Charge
