An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly specialised, autonomous practitioner and influential leader to join us as the Clinical Lead for the Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC).
In this pivotal role - combing hands - on clinical expertise with strategic leadership - you will guide and inspire a multidisciplinary team, playing a key role in the UTC's day to day operations as well as its long term development. As a visible and supportive clinical leader, you will champion a culture of excellence - enhancing team skills, promoting multidisciplinary collaboration, and driving continuous improvement.
You will support the achievement of key performance indicators and contribute to service planning and delivery alongside the management team. Your ability to implement and lead change in response to clinical organisational needs will be essential to the role.
Our UTC operates from a state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility adjacent to our brand-new Emergency Department. With a single point of entry for all walk-in urgent and emergency patients, our model ensures that individuals are seen by the right team at the right time. Working closely with dedicated, GPs, nurses, and AHPs, the UTC provides care for a wide range of urgent but non-life threatening conditions.

Main duties of the job
The role of the UTC Lead Practitioner is to undertake a senior clinical position as a highly specialised and autonomous practitioner.
You will undertake assessment and treatment of patients in the UTC who may present with complex and/or chronic illnesses and/or injury; to determine a clinical diagnosis, treatment and appropriate discharge as indicated as well as maintaining patient records.
Youwill manage the clinical team within the UTC and play a full role in the service delivery.
You will be a strong visible clinical leader, enhancing the nurses' skills and knowledge, and work in partnership within a multi-disciplinary team.
To contribute to meeting the identified key performance indicators within the timeframes identified. The UTC Lead Practitioner will assist the CDG leadership team with the planning, developing and delivery of the UTC service, and will initiate and implement change effectively in response to clinical or organisational demands.
