We are looking for nurses with experience who can provide evidence of continuing professional development. You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and clinical skills and have a positive approach to team working. As a pivotal part of our team, you will be responsible for the provision of safe and effective harm free care. A genuine interest in Outpatient Nursing is essential. Flexibility to work within Outpatient clinics.
We staff a variety of clinics from different specialities and have nurse led clinics and assist with diagnostic procedures.
A visit to the department prior to the interview is encouraged.
Hours of work are currently Monday to Friday.
You will have the opportunity to develop a range of transferable skills to enable the provision of high quality, patient focused care in a fast changing, supportive and friendly environment.
Main duties of the job
To meet the needs of the Trust with regard to Induction, mandatory and statutory training
To work within the framework for Clinical Governance to provide effective, high quality individualised nursing care to patients and relatives/carers and to contribute to the continuing development of nursing practice.
To ensure high standards of patient care at all times, in line with Trust policies and guidelines
To work as an effective member of the nursing and wider multi-professional healthcare team
To work within the Trust's Competency Framework for Registered Nurses, the Ward/ Department Philosophy and the NMC Code of Conduct/ Professional Standards for the Protection of Patients.
