Are you an experienced Band 5 Nurse looking to develop your career?

In order to enable us to maintain our commitment to high qualify patient focused care, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse who will work within our amazing team in Children's Services at Colchester Hospital.

We are looking for a highly professional individual who has excellent clinical and organizational ability who would like to further develop their managerial skills.

We have full time and part time hours available.

Main duties of the job

To effectively manage and develop the nursing team within the Children's Ward and provide professional and clinical leadership in the delivery of high quality, safe, cost effective care to children, families and staff.

To work with nurses and other identified team members (MDT) on a one to one/group basis and enhance clinical skills and practice across areas where children are cared for to develop and enhance clinical skills and practice.

To deputize for the ward /unit manager to ensure appropriate senior cover at all times.
