Mersea ward are looking for a highly motivated Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join the team. Healthcare Support Workers are a key part of our team and support the Registered Nurses in providing high quality care to our patients.

If you have excellent communication skills and a professional manner, then come and join our team in delivering high quality care.

Experience in the health care setting is essential.

Main duties of the job

  • To meet the direct and indirect care needs of patients under the delegation and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • To provide personal care to patients including bathing, toileting and feeding.
  • In this role, you will work as a member of the ward team, establishing effective communication across the multi-disciplinary team to ensure high quality care for our patients, families and carers. You will also report to the senior nurse on duty in a timely manner, information relating to all work activity, e.g. identifying significant changes in relation to direct patient care/treatment plans.
