Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the ICENI centre team build upon the existing excellent reputation by supporting the new cadaveric curriculum.

You will be responsible for supporting the Iceni Centre delivery of high quality, robust cadaveric curriculum across a range of specialities. They will be able to liaise with industry partners as well as internal stake holders to ensure seamless coordination of the courses.

It is expected that you would be responsible for ensuring courses run in accordance with the risk assessments and standard operating procedures that run alongside the Human Tissue Authority licence.

You will provide clinical expertise in all areas of the curriculum with the intent to enhance the Iceni Centre outstanding reputation.

You will have oversight of the cadaveric curriculum whilst working alongside the ICENI centre technician to ensure the smooth running of the courses. This will entail regular stocktake of the equipment, strict inventory of equipment and detailed technical spec for each course delivered.

Working with external stakeholders in order to promote the ICENI centre development in terms of its offer and promotion of the cadaveric curriculum. It will involve the development of new markets and income streams, delivering training to healthcare professionals across the Trust as well as attracting new talent to ESNEFT.

Main duties of the job

  • To work with wider ICENI team to ensure cohesive approach to the cadaveric curriculum
  • To liaise with external companies regarding the purchase of specimens for the cadaveric courses whilst maintaining adherence to the risk assessments and standard operating procedures in place
  • Provide clinical expertise for the cadaveric curriculum
  • To work closely with ICENI centre technician to ensure availability of equipment for the running of the courses
  • To oversee technician to ensure robust checking of equipment and freezer/ fridge to ensure specimens are kept in accordance of risk assessments and SOPs in line with the Human Tissue Authority licence
  • To ensure technician keeps robust records for equipment cleaning and temperature monitoring
  • To build up & maintain relationships with external stakeholders and industry to keep cadaveric curriculum future proof
  • To organise and collate minutes as well as store information for the HTA sub committee meetings

  • Experience of working within a pressurised and busy environment - ideally acute clinical setting
  • Experience in working with key stakeholders, such as teaching faculty or course sponsors
  • Microsoft Office and IT experience
