Job summary
This is an exciting and excellent opportunity to develop your career by taking on the role of Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse in our fast paced ever evolving Outpatients Department at Ipswich Hospital.
You will work alongside a multi skilled Nursing Team across all ESNEFT OPD Sites and have a close relationship with the OPD Operational Team which will enable patient acuity and nursing resources available.
You will effectively manage and develop the nursing services and provide professional and managerial leadership in the delivery of high quality, safe, cost effective care of patients, families and staff.
You will inspire and facilitate the development of department staff by providing an open supportive and encouraging environment in which all staff fell valued and where best practice prospers.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an individual who will support the Matron in leading and developing the experienced nursing team in this department and promote multi-disciplinary working.
You will provide inspirational leadership to the department, be positively welcoming, effective and act as a credible role model. You will have well-developed communication, change management and organisational skills, with a positive attitude andshare in our vision and commitment to continuously develop and improve.
You should be caring, compassionate, forward thinking, well organizedand have a positive attitude towards flexibility and change.
