Intelligent Automation is the software driven capability comprising of an amalgamated group of technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & Robotic Process Automation.

Using the logical, process driven workforce of RPA and applying layers of AI and ML to give them true 'intelligence', we're discovering a host of opportunities to deliver services differently & more efficiently.

We look to embed these new capabilities into services trust-wide, supporting & enhancing existing systems and workflows, whilst exploring new Intelligent Automation opportunities to streamline service delivery within our new Electronic Patient Record system.

We're looking to fill a key role in the team, our Automation Analyst. As a trained business analyst, you will have experience in liaising with business process owners & subject matter experts to identify & document new ways of working, leveraging full value from our Intelligent Automation workforce.

You'll need to document the 'as is' process in detail & then document how this could be adapted & streamlined for automation, subsequently producing process definition & solution design documentation.

Working closely with our team of Automation Developers during the development & testing phases of the automation build; you will also take on responsibility of overseeing the digital workforce on a day-to-day basis, managing BAU, analysing exceptions within processes & highlighting issues to the development team when issues persist.

Main duties of the job

Key elements of this role include:

  • Coordinate with Automation Team and the business to identify and provide solution designs for production issues and enhancements.
  • Work alongside the Business Process Owner(s), Subject Matter Experts (SME) and Automation Team members to develop a deep end-to-end understanding of processes targeted for automation and to sketch out impacted processes and business requirements.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to develop business requirements documentation of the process to be automated in a manner that is understood by the business users and can be shared with the Automation Team and stakeholders.
  • Work with Automation and Technical Team members to facilitate the planning and execution of RPA and other Intelligent Automation functionalities.
  • To liaise with Business Units to perform value analysis for the processes.
  • Identify scope, benefits, constraints, and risks for Intelligent Automation (IA) initiatives (including Robotic Process Automation (RPA)) capture and document current state manual processes
