Job summary

Suffolk Community Healthcare is recognised for being a caring, responsive, well led organisation and we are looking for a committed, experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Registered Nurse with care and compassion to join our team.

We are a 20 bedded community hospital delivering high quality care in a rehabilitative setting.

In 2017 we were given the opportunity to take part in an exciting new initiative called Discharge to Assess. Our role is providing rehabilitation and reablement to patients both from the acute and home, to assess their needs and aim to discharge back to their own home within 14 days. This role is Pathway 2.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible with the guidance of the Matron for providing leadership and teaching within the ward environment.

Through knowledge, good example and education, enable unit staff to deliver high quality, individualised care.

To provide support and supervision of nursing staff, and effectively coordinate and deploy resources within the Ward.
