Job summary
We are looking for experienced health and social care professionals with extensive experience in their field.
1x Midwife Legacy Mentor - 22.5 hours per week - Based at Colchester
1x AHP Legacy Mentor - 22.5 hours per week - Cross Site work required
Fixed Term/Secondment for 12 months
As a Legacy Mentor, you will be helping newly qualified nurses, midwives and AHPs, and those in other clinical roles by imparting knowledge, skills and experience through coaching and supporting them in the early stages of their career.
You will need to demonstrate empathy and patience, be passionate about the profession and be able to provide pastoral support to others.
Main duties of the job
This role is key in supporting all colleagues to remain in the Trust and stay well. Legacy mentors need to be confident in building relationships and collaborating with others. You will provide coaching and mentoring and will be given any necessary training to develop these skills.
Legacy mentors may work in a range of specialisms or environments across the health and social care spectrum using a coaching model. In addition to mentoring newly qualified employees you will also support in practice environments for learners and liaise with other practice placement support staff to ensure consistency of support across the setting, working within clinical practice in a supernumerary capacity.
