We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Theatre Practitioner to join our team as a Senior Theatre Practitioner in our Constable Theatres team in Gynaecology Surgery at Colchester Hospital. This post will require input across the three specialities of Gynaecology, Obstetrics and Breast although with a lead role in Gynaecology.
You will need to effectively manage and develop a nursing team to provide professional and clinical leadership in the delivery of high quality, safe, cost effective care of patients across Gynaecology, Obstetrics and Breast surgery.
You will have proven experience in teaching, mentorship and educating within these specialities. You will have ideally been involved in the development of clinical competencies and training, and be confident with multi-disciplinary engagement.
This post is full time, however part time may be considered, to be discussed at interview.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity for you touse your broad knowledge of women's surgical procedures and associated instrumentation to provide patient centred care.
For this role, you will:

- Use your good organisational and clinical skills, and support clinical excellence by developing learning
- Help drive change and be progressive and innovative
- Assist in undertaking audit and research
- Use your excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills, communicating well with all staff members and external organisations
- Be part of collaborative working and actively supporting and liaising with other healthcare professionals in the organisation
