Breast Services are looking for an Operational Co-ordinator to join the team. Working at Colchester Hospital, this is an opportunity to play an integral part in future service developments.
You will work alongside the Senior Operational Coordinator, liaising with doctors, nurses and admin staff to provide a comprehensive breast service to our patients.
This opportunity will allow you to play a major role in the continuing development of service delivery for the benefit of our patients where care and compassion are central to everything we do. You will have the opportunity to further develop your operational and management skills in a supportive and innovative atmosphere, including bed management and business management.

Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for ensuring that day to day activity runs smoothly, liaising with multiple stakeholders both within and externally to the Trust.
In addition you will manage the administrative team within Breast Services supporting them to move patients through their treatment pathways within appropriate timescales. You will be accountable for clinical utilisation.Ideally you willhave a working knowledge of NHS performance standards pertaining to cancer treatment standards and referral to treatment targets.
You will also encourage high performance from the staff, with the aim to maintain a high quality comprehensive service.
