We have a fantastic opportunity to join our ICT team as the Head of Clinical Systems.

As the Head of Clinical Systems you will provide strategic direction and leadership in the planning, development, and deployment of clinical information systems across ESNEFT. You will lead a team of skilled IT professionals and foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and excellence within the clinical systems department. You will oversee the maintenance of clinical information systems, including Electronic Health Records (EHRs), Electronic Patient Records (EPRs), Patient Administration Systems (PASs) and other relevant applications.

We are looking for a highly motivated, innovative & enthusiastic leader who has a strategic approach with excellent operational and management skills.

Main duties of the job

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align clinical systems initiatives with the organisation's goals and vision.
  • Identify emerging technologies and trends in the healthcare industry to drive innovation and ensure ESNEFT remains at the forefront of digital healthcare.
  • Oversee the maintenance of clinical information systems, including Electronic Health Records (EHRs), Electronic Patient Records (EPRs), Patient Administration Systems (PASs) and other relevant applications.
  • Ensure seamless integration and interoperability of various clinical systems to enable efficient data exchange and communication among healthcare providers.
  • Monitor system performance, conduct regular audits, and implement improvements to optimise system usability and reliability.
  • Establish protocols for data security, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Lead a team of skilled IT professionals, ensuring effective collaboration and continuous professional development.
  • Encourage creativity and forward-thinking to drive improvements and maximise the potential of clinical technologies.
  • Collaborate with clinical stakeholders, department heads, and executive leadership to understand their needs and ensure the clinical systems align with their requirements.

The role may require occasional work out of hours to support key system upgrades.
