An exciting opportunity for a Ward Sister/Charge Nurse has arisen to join Peldon Ward (Care of the Elderly)

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious senior nurse, who strives for excellence, has a passion for the delivery of quality patient care, whilst monitoring and maintaining high standards within the clinical setting.
Please note this role is a job share.
Main duties of the job
- Maintain a high visible presence on ward/department area - Acting as an effective role model and expert clinician
- Line manage all responsible staff to include annual appraisals employing the KSF framework and performance monitoring in accordance with Trust policies and procedures
- Work collaboratively with the Matron in the development of the ward service redesign
- Responsible for the implementation of measurable accountable models of working to sustain high standards of safe patient care at ward/department level in line with the Trust model
- Responsible and accountable for the ward/department management of all nursing personnel issues in a timely manner in accordance with Trust policies working closely with HR
- Responsible for proposing and implementing Divisional policies that underpin the continuous improvement of patient care and services at ward/department level
