Job summary

Are you an experienced Nurse with a passion for Gynaecology and Early Pregnancy?

We have excellent opportunity for an experienced Early Pregnancy Nurse looking to work within our enthusiastic and forward thinking Gynaecology team based at Colchester hospital.

The Early Pregnancy Unit currently provides 5 day cover with a view to extend this to a 7 day working unit

Main duties of the job

You will be expected to undertake and report in Obstetric ultrasound examinations, the majority of which will be for emergency patients, independently and as part of a Specialist team. You should also be proficient in venepuncture and cannulation, drug administration and the management of miscarriages.

You will work closely with Stanway ward and the main Ultrasound and Radiology departments, adhering to departmental policies and guidelines.

As a Nurse Specialist in the Early Pregnancy Unit, you will work within a multidisciplinary team delivering a high standard of patient care within the Trust.
