Urology Cancer Care co-ordinator

Department: Urology

Band 4, £27,485 - £30,162 Per annum pro rata

Hours: Full time, 37.5 per week, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working

The successful candidate will be passionate about making a difference to patients under the care of the urology cancer team. If successful, you will be offered the opportunity to work with all members of the multidisciplinary team across the urology cancer speciality. You will be involved in direct patient care, arranging procedures / appointments and supporting the set up and running of a patient surveillance programme, You will be expected to work across the whole patient pathway from pre-diagnosis to cancer treatment, supporting the implementation of Personalised care Agenda for people affected by or living with cancer. You will contribute to a seamless patient pathway, with a drive to provide high quality care.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to organise your workload and prioritise tasks effectively. The successful candidate will have good IT skills and be able to work independently and within a team. Previous healthcare experience would be desirable.

Care coordination is a shared responsibility that ensures a seamless experience of care. It involves integrating services, aligning treatment, and facilitating effective communication between healthcare professionals, patients, and their families throughout the cancer care pathway.
