Hours: 37.5 hours per week, (Monday - Friday, shift patterns covering 8am - 5pm plus weekend working/on-call. Fixed Term/Secondment until 12/11/2026

An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen for a hardworking and conscientious HR Services Administrator to join our busy, multifunctional HR Services Team.

You will provide a comprehensive front-line, customer focused service to employees and managers who require assistance with HR transactions, including Payroll, Temporary Staffing bookings and other general queries raised through the HR Helpdesk, via telephone calls and emails. In addition, the post holder will have excellent IT skills in order to support the maintenance and usage of the Electronic Staff Record System (ESR), as well as digital Payroll and HR information systems, supporting managers and employees with the updating of employee records.

Working across sites at both the Trust and Witan Gate House, you will have excellent time management skills, working with the team to adhere to strict payroll deadlines, maintaining a clear head under pressure.

The post holder will work in the Human Resources Services Team and will provide a comprehensive first level, customer focused front-line service, to employees who require assistance with HR transactions, such as payroll and temporary staffing requirements. In addition, the post holder will support the maintenance and usage of the computerised payroll and HR information system - Electronic Staff Record (ESR), supporting managers with the use of the system for the updating and correction of employees records.

The role involves close and collaborative working with other HR teams and our external payroll provider to deliver a professional, high quality customer service to managers and employees alike, working to resolve queries in a timely and efficient manner. As such, excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Communicates by email, phone and face to face. Communicates with HR team members, payroll staff, finance staff and Trust staff at all levels. Provides and receives information in both standard as well as complex format. i.e. communicates/relays pay and tax information to employees in response to basic queries. Delivers basic training or support to users.
