Hours: 37.5 per week, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working

Are you an experienced Healthcare Assistant looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a proactive and compassionate Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our busy and friendly Urology Investigation Unit.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a specialist outpatient setting, supporting patients undergoing a range of urological investigations including flexible cystoscopy, urodynamics and catheter care. You'll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care and working as part of the clinical team in a fast-paced environment.

Do you have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, experience in urology, outpatients or diagnostic procedures? If you are ready to build upon your NHS experience and grow in a specialist role, we will offer you opportunities to develop.

Please be advised if you do not have a NHS Care Certificate you will be Band 2 until this has been completed alongside your 6-month probationary period.

The urology investigation unit is a dedicated area for appointments, clinics and procedures. The post holder will work flexibly across the service to contribute to an environment that promotes excellence in the unit.

The aim of the role is to assist in the provision of specialist nursing care in the urology investigation unit. The post holder will be responsible for undertaking practical procedures under the supervision of trained nursing staff whilst working as part of the multidisciplinary team.

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience

  • Understanding of the role of a Healthcare Assistant
