Divisional Chief Nurse - Paediatrics
Department: Women and Children's Division
Band 8c £70,417 - £81,138 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working
The Divisional Chief Nurse is a key clinical leadership role for the Trust and requires an individual who is capable of leading, inspiring, and developing the nursing and support workforce across Paediatrics to continuously deliver a high standard of professional practice and care, providing professional advice in respect to nursing, managerial and operational issues that arise across the division.
If you are able to demonstrate experience in nursing leadership, setting positive ad clear expectations for delivery and have exemplary standards of quality, safety, infection prevention control, safeguarding and patient and family experience then we look forward to hearing from you. Work in collaboration within the triumvirate with the Divisional Director and Divisional Associate Director of Operations who have collective responsible for the delivery of the divisional and Trust strategic agendas.
The post holder will support the Chief Nurse with the delivery of the wider corporate professional agenda to include the development of innovative strategies for nursing to enable a skilled and empowered workforce at all levels that is fit for purpose and equipped to deliver excellence in care standards.
Provide leadership and management of the matrons and non-medical professionals as appropriate to your services. This includes ensuring appropriate talent management through recruitment and retention activities, performance management, identifying education and development needs and promoting career advancement.
Be accountable for the operational and budgetary management of nursing, quality, and standards of care. Specifically ensuring capacity exists to deliver the required level of service within the resources available and raising concerns where required.
