Children's Specialist Physiotherapist - 12 month rotations within Children's Physiotherapy.

Band 6 £35,392 - £42,618 per annum pro rata
Hours: 22.5 per week, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working
The Therapy team at MKUH are looking for an enthusiastic Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our Children's Physiotherapy Team. The team delivers physiotherapy services to children and young people aged 0-19 years within acute and community settings. There will be opportunities to work in the children's outpatients with both musculoskeletal and neurodisability caseloads, the children's inpatient ward, Redway special needs school and hydrotherapy. We are re-establishing 12 month rotations within Children's Physiotherapy to allow experience in these different areas.
The post will involve working in the Children's Physiotherapy department based in Stony Stratford Health Centre, Milton Keynes Hospital and Redway School. Being able to drive between the sites is essential.
We offer comprehensive induction, ongoing clinical and managerial support from experienced specialist staff, regular in-house training, as well as opportunities for involvement in service development.

Main duties of the job
To provide high quality evidence-based assessment and treatment of children and young people aged 0-19 presenting with a range of conditions.
To hold responsibility for own caseload and assist other team members with theirs as required.
To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
To undertake evidence-based audit and quality improvement projects to further own and teams clinical practice as required.
Make recommendations to the Lead Physiotherapist for changes to practice by the team as appropriate.
