Main duties of the job
- The successful candidate will need to work closely with the current Consultant haematologists and multi-disciplinary team and also with colleagues across the Trust.
- Lead on the set up and delivery of the proposed Autologous Stem Cell Transplant service and liaising with the Oxford University Hospital (OUH) stem cell transplant service
- Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of patients, delivering level 2 B care.
- To share with colleagues' responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Haematology Services including General Haematology On-Call.
- The Trust has close clinical and academic ties with Oxford University Hospitals and the successful applicant will participate in teaching both under and postgraduate students associated with the University of Oxford and the University of Buckingham Medical School.
- To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit.
- To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing professional development (CPD).
