Job summary
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join the Resuscitation and Clinical Simulation Team as an Advanced Course Administrator.
This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative and communication skills who takes pride in delivering a friendly, professional, and responsive service. You will play a vital part in supporting the delivery of advanced resuscitation courses, ensure high-quality training is provided across the Trust.
Working closely with the Resuscitation and Clinical Simulation Team, you will support the full range of administrative processes for a variety of courses. You will also work alongside and provide cover for the Resuscitation Administrator when required, contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the service.
A key aspect of the role involves building and maintaining effective working relationships with instructors, course candidates, and colleagues at all levels, both within the Trust and externally. Your organisational skills and attention to detail will help ensure courses are efficiently planned, well administered, and delivered successfully.
The Resuscitation and Clinical Simulation Team is responsible for delivering comprehensive resuscitation training across the Trust, from basic life support through to advanced life support programmes. You will provide a high-quality, efficient administrative service, responding to daily enquiries and offering hands-on support during courses.
Main duties of the job
- Coordinate course bookings using a range of database systems, managing communication with candidates and instructors, and providing admin cover.
- Communicate effectively with customers, answering telephone and email queries appropriately
- Communicate with external and internal course directors and instructors
- Assist with the smooth transition of candidates through the courses, from initial bookings to post course tasks including financial tracking
- Work independently on tasks relating to resuscitation courses
- Arrange for the provision of food, beverages and overnight accommodation
- Welcome candidates and faculty on the day of advanced courses
- Monitor and order and receipt resources and equipment for advanced life support courses
- Have a flexible approach to hours worked on weeks that advanced courses are taking place
To be successful in this role you will be flexible, adaptable and able to work well under pressure. You enjoy working as part of a team. You will work closely with our Resuscitation and Clinical Simulation team and colleagues within the hospital and externally.
