As a Nursing Associate within our Urology Outpatients team, you'll be a vital part of a dynamic and supportive service. You will work closely with a wide range of Urology professionals, helping us deliver safe, effective and compassionate care to patients of all ages.
You'll already have completed the Trainee Nursing Associate programme, achieved a Level 5 foundation degree-equivalent qualification, and secured registration with the NMC. You'll be confident working in line with the NMC Code of Conduct and ready to apply your skills within a specialist setting.
Main duties of the job
In this varied and rewarding role, you will:
- Lead your own nurse-led clinics, including:
- Adult and paediatric flow clinics
- Trial Without Catheter (TWOC) clinics
- Support clinicians in the flexible cystoscopy suite, gaining valuable experience in specialist procedures.
- Scrub for surgical procedures and assist with trans-perineal prostate biopsy clinics.
- Support general urology clinics, ensuring excellent continuity of care.
- Assess, plan and deliver high-quality clinical care in line with patient needs, under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, regularly liaising with other departments to coordinate care.
- Carry out essential administrative duties that help the service run smoothly.
