Medical Secretary - Rheumatology OPD

Job summary

Are you an organised, confident and proactive secretary looking for your next challenge?We have a fantastic opportunity to join our friendly Rheumatology team as a Medical Secretary, providing high-quality support to our Consultants and clinical teams.

In this busy and rewarding role, you'll use your strong secretarial and organisational skills to ensure the smooth running of the service. You'll communicate daily with colleagues, patients and clinicians, so excellent interpersonal skills and a professional, calm approach are essential. Previous secretarial experience and strong typing skills are required, and while medical terminology is desirable, full training will be provided.

We're looking for someone who can think on their feet, stay composed under pressure and adapt to changing priorities. If you are flexible, supportive and enjoy being part of a close-knit team, we would love to hear from you. In return, we offer supportive training and development, with working hours of Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day.

Main duties of the job

To provide full and comprehensive secretarial support to Consultant Rheumatologists andclinical team within the Department of Rheumatology. To provide a central point ofcommunication for patients, other hospital departments, GPs and outside agencies.
