Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for 3 full-time posts from 5th August 2026 to 3rd August 2027 in Undergraduate Medical Education.
These posts will have 7-8 fixed sessions in Undergraduate Medical Education with 2-3 sessions negotiable with successful candidate in a speciality of their choice. There is no out of hour's commitment with these posts.
These posts offer the opportunity to become intensively involved in medical and surgical education of our Bristol medical students, working in conjunction with local unit co-ordinators and tutors. It would ideally suit someone currently in a ST post in a Medical or Surgical specialty that is looking for an 'out of programme experience;' the Severn Deanery has given permission for this to be recognised from one of their programmes. It would also suit current F2 doctors with a particular interest in teaching.
You should be self -motivated and innovative to help develop this post, with a particular emphasis on using simulation in clinical teaching.

- Act as a role model and junior mentor for students during their stay in Bath.
- Contribute and participate in the assessment process for the 2nd, 3rd and final year medical students.
