Job summary
Are you an experienced midwife with a passion to promote a holistic approach to maternity care, provide effective management and leadership? This is an opportunity to join our growing and supportive leadership team at the Royal United Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust on a permanent basis. You will work closely with the Maternity Matron and consultant team and also provide clinical and managerial leadership. Main duties of the job
You will work as an autonomous clinical midwife and advice staff working in the clinical area, acting as an effective role model and leader.
The post holder will have responsibility for the efficient running of services developing and implementing of strategies to improve the health of women and children in line with the Public Health agenda. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of clinical care is achieved by efficient and effective use of resources, liaising with other agencies, organising, and ensuring supervision of practice, and teaching of staff and students. You will actively seek service user and family feedback to enable learning and support change. Promoting excellence in midwifery practice you will act as a champion for safety, escalation and multi-disciplinary communication. As part of this role you will be expected to participate in the on call rota. You will be committed to reflective practice and ongoing learning.
