Job summary
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality patient care, supporting the development of a new sleep service within the community, and introducing new approaches to sleep diagnostics using Sleep Health Solutions software. You will receive training in performing basic diagnostic tests and assisting in initiating respiratory support treatment.
This role requires working closely with Clinical Physiologists, administrative staff, and the multi-disciplinary team. Self-motivation and strong communication skills are essential. Previous clinical experience, preferably within the NHS, is desirable.
Main duties of the job
Conduct sleep questionnaire consultations (directly or via telephone) and take relevant measurements (height, weight, collar size), examine the oropharynx (picture guide 1-4, need to pick closest image).
Explain equipment usage and transport equipment as needed.
Prepare and programme sleep diagnostic equipment, explain home sleep diagnostic tests to patients, clean and download sleep study equipment, and assess diagnostic study quality.
Assist with administrative duties, including booking outpatient appointments, organising tests, preparing labs for daily clinics, and handling patient correspondence.
