Job summary
In this key role you will lead the development and operational implementation of the Trust's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy.
This includes evaluation of the effectiveness of the strategic plan to identify ways in which to improve KPI's, delivering against the model, employer aspirations and levelling up agenda, and to have robust reporting skills to enable effective analysis of key data including, but not limited to, the gender Pay Gap, the Ethnicity Pay Gap, the Workforce Race, Equality Scheme (WRES) and Workforce Disability Equality scheme (WDES) and model employer targets.
Main duties of the job
Using quantitative and qualitative data on staff experience, workforce demographic data and statutory report; combined with evidence based best practice and the Trust's workforce strategy develop a workforce ED&I plan as one half of an overall ED&I strategy.
Based on local health inequality statistics, the Trust's clinical strategy, NICE and other national guidance develop in partnership with clinicians a Health inequalities reduction plan, which combined with the workforce plan should form a ED&I strategy to guide the Trust over a three to ten year period.
You will facilitate the work to support the implementation of the Trust's strategy and objectives. This includes the WRES and WDES, using research and national bench marking to drive improved actions.
You'll be the ED&I subject matter expert across the Trust at all levels to maximise the performance of teams through effective diagnostic of team culture, delivering tailored team interventions and solutions; ensuring this is aligned to sound OD principles.
Working with all stakeholders and staff-led equality networks you will develop the ED&I strategy and local plans advising on appropriate KPIs and other data relevant to the attainment of the overall objectives of the Trust.
You will work collaboratively and proactively with the HR Business Partners and Divisions in providing at times, complex, expert advice support for ED&I data outcomes, development of ED&I plans and associated interventions.
