Job summary
To provide full and comprehensive secretarial support to Consultant Rheumatologists and clinical team within the Department of Rheumatology.To provide a central point of communication for patients, other hospital departments, GPs and outside agencies
Main duties of the job
Medical Secretary - Rheumatology - Band 3
If you have highly effective secretarial and organisational skills there is an opportunity to join the Rheumatology team as a medical secretary supporting the Rheumatology Consultants and their teams.
We are looking for an individual who has the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, patients and the medical teams. Previous secretarial experience is essential with excellent typing skills, medical terminology being desirable but not essential. This is a busy department therefore the ability to "think on your feet" and to remain calm would be an asset. Our ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptable and willing to work as part of our busy but supportive team.
