Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Therapist, with management experience, to develop their career in the role of Head of Therapies at the Royal United Hospital.

The post holder will be responsible for the successful provision of a full therapies service for the Trust and will need to rapidly establish themselves as credible with both key groups of therapists, Occupational and Physio, through excellent communication and relationship building skills, proven through work experience to date.

The post includes responsibility for managing both OT and Physio Paediatric therapy services via a Head of Children's Therapy.

Main duties of the job

The post will include leadership, for example, demonstrating a working knowledge of the leadership role in Therapies across the region and nationally. Line manage the Deputy Head of Therapies - Adults and professional lead Deputy Head of Therapies - Children.

Operational and Performance Management, including responsibility for the daily operational planning and scheduling of some of the Therapies/AHPs elective, non-elective and emergency role with the RUH. Financial Management and Human resource management, workforce and training and clinical governance. (This is not an exhaustive list)
