Job summary
- Provision of high-quality food and beverage service in the Trust's retail catering outlets.
- Ensure that a very high standard of customer service is provided by catering staff in retail areas, leading by example.
- To ensure that all food service staff comply with the Trust's Food Hygiene Policies and Procedures and the Trust's Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
- To ensure the catering departments Quality Management System, which conforms to BS ISO 9001:2015 is implemented and always maintained through the accurate recording of food management data.
- Cashing up of electronic cash EPOS till system, including Chip and Pin credit card machines. As well as preparing monies for banking in line with the departmental cash handling policy and procedures.
- Arrange staffing cover in the event of sickness or other emergency leave to maintain service levels across the department
Main duties of the job
Ensuring Retail Catering Outlets are operating correctly and ensuring a good level of customer service is being provided by the team
Maintain standards of service, and ensuring agreed service levels are met
Working as part of the team in the restaurant or coffee shops, serving food and drinks, and maintaining cleanliness in the environments
Ensuring required data is recorded, including fridge and food temperatures, taking and sales data
Arranging cover for staff absence in the event of sickness or the emergency leave to maintain service levels across the department
