Job summary
We are looking for a Specialist Catering Lead Dietician to take up a this new role within the Catering Department at the RUH. The role has been created to lead the development of nutritious menus for our patients and staff and ensure that the catering provision meets the needs of our customers.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop this new role and make a significant difference to our patients and staff. Food is an important part of our lives, and this role will lead the development of our food offering.
Main duties of the job
The post holder with work closely with the Trust dieticians, nursing and catering colleagues to ensure the nutritional adequacy of the catering service in relation to in-patients and the BDA Nutrition and Hydration Standards.
Menu planning and recipe development will form a key part of this role, and the post holder will work with the food production team to ensure our meals are delivered to our patients and staff to be as nutritionally balanced as possible.
The post holder will be required to work closely as part of the Power of 3 to ensure the food service is delivered appropriately for all our patient needs and advise and provide training to staff where appropriate.
