Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Retail Catering Manager to lead and develop our retail catering offering at the RUH.

Retail Catering have three outlets across the hospital site - the Lansdown Restaurant and two coffee shops, and also provide function catering and vending options across the site.

We are excited that the Lansdown Restaurant is about to be refurbished and relaunched creating a new space for RUH staff and visitors to enjoy. This will give new opportunities for new food offerings and concepts within the new space.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for managing the Retail Catering service, including team management, financial performance, food safety, staff training and brand standards.

The post holder will also be required to develop the retail catering offering, developing new concepts and finding new products to enhance the offering to staff across the RUH, and to our visitors.

  • Degree level/ Post graduate Diploma in Management Studies or equivalent specialist catering service knowledge to manage a large-scale healthcare operation.
  • Level 4 Food Safety Certification
  • Level 3 Allergen Awareness certification

  • IOSHH training and qualification
