Job summary
We are looking to appoint a Team Leader Scrub for Orthopedics/Trauma' to support and lead our orthopedic service based at the Royal united hospital.
This is a significant opportunity for career development at a time that the RUH seeks to grow its Orthopaedic capacity.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to ensure the highest standards of clinical care and practice are maintained. You will work as a skilled member of the Theatre team in leading, providing, and maintaining high standards of peri-operative care.
You will have a higher knowledge of leadership and management of human resources and be keen to develop a new service provision within a Modular based theatre suite at our Peasdown site and will possess significant experience as a Theatre Practitioner. Demand and provision may require the successful applicants to cross-site cover to support the RUH.
You will be innovative within your approach, able to prioritise your own workload and that of others and have excellent communication skills. You will also demonstrate a flexible approach to working and will coordinate with other colleagues in multi-disciplinary teams.

Main duties of the job
Opportunities have arisen for an Orthopaedic / Trauma Theatre Team Leader to join our 24/7 team. We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and forward-thinking individuals, who are looking further to develop existing skills in the Operating Theatre environment.
You will be able to communicate effectively and adopt a practical common sense approach to working and you should have evidence of continued professional development and the ability to motivate and lead a team.
As teaching is an imperative part of this role, a teaching course is desired, along with significant experience at Band 5 or equivalent within this speciality. The ability to dual role scrub and anaesthetics is desirable.
