Return to Practice Nurse (Lapse NMC registration) - Band 5
Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust
This job is now closed
Job summary
Are you an Adult Nurse, Pediatrics Nurse or Children Nurse whose registration has lapsed? Do you miss the challenges and rewards of clinical practice? If so, would you like to return to practice and re-join the NMC professional register?
If the answer isyes, then the Return to Practice Programme is just what you've been looking for. We will welcome applicants who have previous experience across the specialties. This programme will support you and enable you to renew your registration with the NMC and re-join practice with the competence and confidence required to work as an adult/child registered nurse.
The Return to Practice programme can take 3 to 12 months to complete, and is a combination of classroom and placement-based learning. Locally we have a funded course with the University of the West of England (UWE). Health Education England (HEE) will pay your course fees, clinical placement fee and £1000 stipendiary to help towards travel, childcare and book costs. Unfortunately HEE is unable to fund international nurses who haven't previously been registered with the NMC.
NMC still requires 450hours of practice placement to re-register. How quick you are able to complete the placement depends on whether you do it as short time or long time course with the University and your experience of acute Nursing care.
