Job summary

Working as part of the People Directorate, the post-holder will work alongside clinical and non-clinical colleagues in the HW&B team, supporting on the development and delivery of a range of preventative outreach programmes and group interventions to support and improve the health and wellbeing. They will work with others including Occupational Health colleagues to support delivery health and wellbeing campaigns and to promote and raise awareness of the full range of support and interventions available to staff across all teams, services and departments.

Main duties of the job

  • As a member of the EAP team to support key projects and initiatives linked to the successful delivery of the Trust's Health and Wellbeing Plan and People Plan
  • To support EAP wellbeing outreach and prevention work streams ensuring that all key stakeholders are included and able to participate in delivery
  • To support the development, planning and delivery of health and wellbeing campaigns and interventions in response to identified staff need
  • To act as a champion for staff health and wellbeing, targeting specific teams, divisions and departments where indicated to encourage and facilitate take-up of the full range of interventions and opportunities available to staff

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject e.g. Psychology, Mental Health Science, Organisational Development, Public Health OR Able to evidence equivalent relevant experience in a health promotion type role OR A recognised professional qualification such as Psychotherapy, Psychology, Counselling or Mental Health Nursing

Desirable

  • Basic counselling or listening skills training
  • Additional relevant training or qualification e.g. Mental Health First Aid
