Job summary
We have a further opportunity to join our friendly team as a Medical Secretary to support Respiratory Outpatients. We were delighted to win Team of the Month in January 2023 and are passionate about providing our patients with the best experience of the Respiratory Department. We can offer you full or part time hours and flexibility working on site and/or at home.
The team works together to assist in the smooth running of the department and ensure patients have the best possible experience. On a day to day basis you'll be supporting clinicians with general administration, including audio typing. You'll also be liaising with patients, clinicians and other teams in the Trust so you will need to have a customer focused approach to your work.

Main duties of the job
To liaise with the medical team, GP's and patients to provide an excellent administration service for all patients.
First point of contact for patients etc via telephone and email.
Typing letters using dictation system directly into hospital system (incl. Millennium).
Using Microsoft software e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet and Intranet.
Management of consultant diaries.
