Job summary

Are you looking for a new challenge?

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a committed individual to work as a food Service dietitian in the Bath and North Somerset area. The post holder will act as the main interface between the food service and clinical services. You will join the community nutrition and dietetic team based at St Martin's Hospital.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated dietitian, with a flair for innovation to deliver this role. The role would suit a Band 6 looking to work in a specialist area, or a Band 7 looking to work in a different area.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Leading and implementing nutrition and hydration standards
  • Facilitate liaison with the catering and nursing teams and other staff groups
  • Audit nutrition are and undertake menu analysis
  • Organise and provide education to staff involved in provision of food
  • Provide supervision and training to students and junior staff

  • Post registration training in teaching
  • Post registration training in project management or leadership

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Post-registration relevant clinical dietetic experience in nutrition support, inpatients or chronic disease management
  • Experience of working within multi-disciplinary teams
  • Active participation in audit/quality assurance
  • Experience in writing policies and quality reports.
  • Experience or involvement of implementing guidance or policies
  • Experience with dietary analysis systems
