This post would be most suited to those with previous experience at registrar level who wish to enhance their CV and gain more experience in GI surgery. The GI unit consists of one UGI and two LGI firms although there is much cross-cover across the whole unit. We offer surgery for benign upper GI disease and manage the full range of colorectal disease including cancer, IBD and pelvic floor problems.
We are at the forefront of the increasingly important ESAC service with four consultants who offer clinics and theatres for semi-urgent admissions including acute gall bladder disease.
