Job summary
We are delighted to invite applications for a Band 7 Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our ever-expanding team, here in the Paediatric Specialist Fatigue Service for young people and their families, based from the Royal United Hospital in Bath. We welcome applications from those who are final year Trainees.
In recent years we have expanded and widened our clinical work to treating those with a range of chronic health conditions and causes for their fatigue.
Following NICE guidelines for the management of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), we have also begun trialling additional treatments such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), therapeutic groups for young people, and support for parents and families.
We are a large multi-disciplinary service and have a great number of opportunities for inter-disciplinary working. This includes regular complex case discussions, team safeguarding supervision, and team supervision of systemic work or cases which is facilitated by a Family Therapist. We also have a number of regular team meetings and also project-related meetings
We are a strongly research active service and work closely with research colleagues from the Universities of Bristol and Bath.
We are a friendly and supportive team, and we look forward to welcoming your application in this opportunity to join us.
