Job summary

We are offering a 6 month Band 7 secondment with the site team to support the RUH and winter pressures. As a senior nurse, you will be responsible alongside the site team, for ensuring that patient flow is as seamless as possible throughout the hospital. We are looking for someone who is responsive and compassionate in their approach and has the ability to prioritise patient safety whilst meeting key targets. We are a small team, and we would like to have someone in our team who demonstrates kindness and civility, works well in a team and autonomously.

As part of the operations team, we can offer a supportive team to work with in to facilitate patient flow with in the RUH with all the complexities that this entails

As you know, the process of flow can be challenging whilst at the same time being hugely rewarding, especially when working with the right team of people around you and this is absolutely what we can offer you if you were to join our Trust.

Main duties of the job

  1. Provision of visible and accessible leadership, direction and support to clinical site team and other staff involved in patient flow and escalation processes
  2. Providing leadership and direction to the staff within care pathways for which they are accountable and ensure delivery of safe, high quality care in line with the organisation's strategic vision
  3. Providing expert clinical leadership to frontline staff, actively promoting Compassion in Practice and underpinning the 6Cs as well as the Trusts Values and Behaviours
  4. Work proactively with directorates and bed managers within team to ensure all local and national access targets are me
  5. Acting as a role model as a highly visible, accessible, fair and authoritative figure to whom staff, patients, families and carers can rely upon
  6. Taking a professional lead role in advising and supporting the Clinical Leads and Speciality Manager upon the improving flow together pillar and engage teams to support chang
