Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented clinician, with a passion for widening participation, to lead a project in the design of a Volunteer to Career programme.
The Royal United Hospitals Bath, NHS Foundation Trust, has recently been awarded a grant from Health Education England. The RUH was one of fifteen trusts chosen as an expansion of the successful Volunteer to Career Programme run in conjunction with Helpforce*. The strategic aim of the VtC programme is to positively impact NHS workforce recruitment needs, at a local level, through the design of Volunteer to Career (VtC) initiatives.
*Helpforce is a charity working with the NHS and health and care organisations to increase volunteering opportunities and accelerate their impact.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will lead a project to increase the number of volunteers who have an interest in pursuing a career in health and care after their volunteering experience. They will design and deliver a project focused on the development of the Volunteer to Career initiative and pathways which meets the identified needs of the hospital and the community it serves.
