As a successful candidate you will demonstrate excellent communication skills, be a good team player who is flexible in your approach and be willing to work as a part of a Nurse On-Call service. In return we will develop your clinical knowledge and skill within a supportive environment.

Your role will be to provide nurse support in the department's Patient Recovery Area and Interventional Room where you will assist clinicians in a wide range of radiological procedures, maintaining high quality of care in all areas of work and practice.

Main duties of the job

Working within our department, your main duties will include:

  • Working with patients who will be undergoing a wide variety of Interventional procedures.
  • Being responsible for coordinating and providing complete care to patients and working as a part of the team as well as independently.
  • Working closely with members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • To be actively involved in their own development and supporting junior members of the team in their development
  • To strictly adhere to Local and Trust wide Infection Control policy and procedures.
  • Participate in assisting the Radiologists as the Scrub Nurse for a wide variety of procedures.
  • Circulating within the Interventional Room assisting the Radiologist/Scrub Nurse by providing the appropriate equipment. Monitoring and communicating with the patient throughout.
  • Participate in on call duties.
