An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Division of Urgent Emergency Care for an effective leader with proven delivery experience in a fast paced environment.
You will be responsible for the day to day operational management of the division ensuring that operational delivery contributes to high quality patient care, enabling the Trust to achieve its performance and quality objectives. Your role covers all aspects of service provision.
Working closely with the Divisional Director and Divisional Head of Nursing, you will ensure the highest standards of clinical care are delivered and that financial, performance and strategic targets and objectives are met in line with national and local strategic priorities.
You will have senior operational level experience within the NHS. You should have proven expert management and leadership skills in a patient-focused organisation, including staff, change and performance management and service transformation.
Main duties of the job
- Be accountable for the operational performance and strategic development of the clinical business units within the Division. This will include accountability for the delivery of high-quality patient care, clinical governance, patient safety, clinical quality, and delivery of Cost Improvement Programmes (CIPs)
- In conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer be accountable for setting and maintaining an annual capacity plan for the Division in line with the key corporate/Divisional objectives contained within the Trust's annual business plano Have joint responsibility with the other Divisional Directors and Executive Team for driving forward corporate and cross-cutting programmes of work and service direction.

We provide a comprehensive range of specialist and general acute services to around 331,000 people across West and North Norfolk, in addition to parts of Breckland, Cambridgeshire and South Lincolnshire. We have more than 4,000 staff and volunteers and approximately 500 beds on a single site. Some specialist services and clinics are provided in community facilities, such as the North Cambridgeshire hospital in Wisbech. We work in partnership with neighbouring hospitals for the provision of tertiary services.
In February 2022 the QEH the Care Quality Commission rated the Trust as 'Good' in all of the core services they inspected, and recommended the Trust moves out of the recovery support system (formerly special measures).
