Our busy Integrated Pain Service is looking for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse who would like to develop their skills in both acute and chronic pain management. The post will require the candidate to complete the Non-Medical Independent Prescribers course. Are you;

Main duties of the job
As the successful candidate, you will work alongside the existing integrated multi-disciplinary team, focusing on high quality Acute and Chronic Pain Management
In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for contributing towards the day-to-day operational delivery of the Pain Services, providing expert advice and support to patients, families and health care professionals using evidence based best practice.
- Be required to review and plan care for post-operative patients, trauma patients and a wide range of patients having acute and acute on chronic pain.
- Develop skills in chronic pain management to support the busy chronic pain outpatient service. This will involve outpatient clinics.
- Work autonomously, managing your own caseload within a supportive team .
- Liaise with a wide range of healthcare professionals.
- Provide education for patients and other healthcare professionals
- Develop and participate in audit and research activities related to pain management .
- Develop your knowledge and skills through continuing professional development, including undertaking the non-medical prescribing qualification.
- Ensure effective communication throughout the trust to develop and build working relationships with other staff to facilitate 'best practice' in the management of patients with pain.
- Demonstrate good time management and organisational skills to deliver a flexible service that responds appropriately to unpredictable needs.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) King's Lynn is West Norfolk has a superb unspoilt coastline with pretty villages, all with their own individual charm. The medieval port of King's Lynn has some very interesting architecture.
We provide a comprehensive range of specialist and general acute services to around 331,000 people across West and North Norfolk, in addition to parts of Breckland, Cambridgeshire and South Lincolnshire. We have more than 4,000 staff and volunteers and approximately 500 beds on a single site. Some specialist services and clinics are provided in community facilities, such as the North Cambridgeshire hospital in Wisbech. We work in partnership with neighbouring hospitals for the provision of tertiary services.
In February 2022 the QEH the Care Quality Commission rated the Trust as 'Good' in all of the core services they inspected, and recommended the Trust moves out of the recovery support system (formerly special measures).
