An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our established orthopaedic, burns, plastics, and limb reconstruction therapy team at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust.

You will be a key member of the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy teams, who provide care to children in both an in and outpatient setting.

Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Nurse for Team Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • You will be responsible for carrying out direct patient contact under the supervision of a qualified professional, maintaining and ordering a range of equipment, maintaining patient databases, and working in a range of inpatient, outpatient, and clinic settings in a rapidly changing environment. You will be flexible, organised and have great interpersonal skills.
  • Under the direction of a registered AHP, you will be responsible for using play, positioning and physical activity to deliver routine, straightforward rehabilitation programs. This is to improve function and participation in family and community life and, to reduce the impact of disability orillness.
  • You will support patient care by performing routine tasks under the supervision of registered alliedhealth professionals (AHP). This includes managing your own caseload, implementing andmonitoring treatment plans, and providing direct patient care within established guidelines.
  • Responsibilities also include maintaining clinical areas, managing supplies, and ensuring accurate patient documentation.
