We are seeking a Consultant in Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery to join our team at Sheffield Children's Hospital. The post is predominantly based at the Children's Hospital, with outreach adult orthopaedic clinics and theatre sessions also required.
Sheffield Children's Hospital is a designated Major Trauma Centre, with the Paediatric Orthopaedics Department recognised nationally and internationally as a centre of excellence.
Our Paediatric Limb Reconstruction Service is one of the oldest and most established worldwide, supported by a full consultant team and specialist allied health professionals. The department receives tertiary and quaternary referrals from across the UK and overseas, and offers a range of specialist multidisciplinary clinics, including services for Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), Skeletal Dysplasia in collaboration with colleagues in metabolic bone disease, genetics and radiology, and a dedicated Limb Deficiency clinic in partnership with the Rehabilitation and Prosthetic Centre at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.
About You
Completion of a recognised two-year fellowship in Paediatric Trauma & Orthopaedics, with subspecialty training in limb reconstruction, skeletal dysplasia, and osteogenesis imperfecta.
You bring proven expertise in complex paediatric orthopaedic care, a commitment to high-quality patient services, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
